Which one is for you
Its entry tier starts below ours, and it has been around longer with the reviews to show for it. If you want calorie numbers and more surface, it has more surface.
We do not estimate calories, because we would be guessing. The app knows how many times you left the floor; it does not know your body. Putting a number on the screen that we cannot stand behind is the kind of fluff the app is named against.
The other difference is the one in the privacy labels. Theirs lists identifiers and usage data used to track you. Ours reads Data Not Collected. That is what the extra dollar or two is buying: one job, done on your phone, with nothing kept.
Questions
- Why does JustJump Rope cost more than the entry tier?
- Because nothing is subsidised by your data. There is no tracking, no ads, and no analytics, and the App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected. One subscription, one job.
- Does JustJump Rope estimate calories?
- No. The app counts jumps, time, and catches. It does not know your weight or your heart rate, so a calorie figure would be a guess presented as a measurement.
- Which one has more reviews?
- Jump Rope Counter with Calorie has been on the App Store since 2023 and has more reviews. JustJump Rope launched in August 2026.
Prices and features for the other app are taken from its public App Store listing and were checked on 9 October 2026. Listings change; check the store before you decide.
